As the thorough integration of apparently opposing temporal realities (1 x 2)  <–> integratively ( i.e. a continual process) becomes a third more unified and whole reality 3/1, in each moment, i.e. everything within the brackets [ ( 1 x 2 ) <–>  3/1 ] through time in the temporal universe.

Also, as the thorough integration of ( 1 x 2 )  <–>  3/1 can be conceived of as a Duality itself of ( 1 x 2 ) and 3/1,  it includes the thirdness and is hence “a higher and more inclusive Duality” and still remains a Trinity-Unity-Oneness-Wholeness-Process. This perspective is what an obsessively fragmented, reductionistic and merely Dualistic science requires….in order to avoid increasingly becoming a religious orthodoxy itself.

Economics needs a new philosophy much more than it needs “realism” or even science. Science in too many respects anymore has become a religion that too many scientists and scientific pundits are slavishly addicted to. Some would say that we just need to be better scientists, and I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with that….as science, again, has become top heavy with orthodoxy and hence religiosity. We do want to include science in our considerations of course, we just want to broaden it and deepen it by broadening and deepening the ideas we scientifically consider regarding economics. And that brings us back to philosophy. And, if we give ethics its proper and superior due, after all any conscious human activity is inextricably (but not obsessively) an ethical concern, then we require Wisdom to aid us in our journey. The major sages of yore were, for their era, probably the most scientific and personally honest individuals history has produced, and their thinking and nostrums-policies informed, enhanced and/or rejuvenated civilization. When we see the flames of obsessive contention, instability and chaos looming up around us perhaps if we considered a new idea in science and economics and some old ideas from Wisdom that are updated with the scientific knowledge gained over the last couple of centuries, we could turn disintegration into a deeper and broader re-integration.

Precisely. What economic theory needs is Wisdom which by the way has always had the scientific method (comparison of data to a hypothesis for its truthfulness or lack thereof) as an aspect of its overall discipline. Wisdom includes and incorporates the scientific method.

Both are Trinity-Unity-Oneness-Wholeness-Processes and hence are based on the most basic cosmic reality.

Scientific breakthroughs have always resulted from an integration of the scientific method and an aspect or aspects of Wisdom/Consciousness (curiosity, imagination-visualization, a sense of newness, now-ness and an intense and vibrant and yet almost effortless focus, realization-cognition itself, reflectivity, recognition of new and broader realities and relationships, both increased rationality and pragmatic applications, etc. etc.)

It appears to me that physics has been trying to integrate science and Wisdom/Consciousness for almost 100 years, and the only thing actually preventing it is a scientific religiosity that stubbornly refuses to acknowledge and experience consciousness/self awareness which is the only existential reality….that is never not present in any activity and in any moment. How unscientific is it to exclude such reality? Also, the actions of human consciousness: reaching in or out to experience realities and withdrawing from realities thus making such realities real/experienced or not real/unexperienced perfectly reflect quantum reality where particles come into existence and then go out of existence…probably because consciousness is such an utterly integrated and integrative aspect of the the physical universe/cosmos and so…why should the two not reflect each other??? The puzzling thing is science’s and scientist’s reluctance to embrace these facts/realities.

I emphasize that Wisdom is not religion itself and not the religious dogmas and pre-scientific conclusions often made by same, but a contemplative looking at and experiencing of any and all realities and their inner and outer rational application. In essence a more complete scientific method than what passes for the scientific method today.

The current scientific method is hung up in positivism and empiricism. There isn’t anything inherently wrong with either positivism or empiricism, but when they are used as overweening methodological means they become religious doctrines not science. Wisdom has no problem with positivism, empiricism or consciousness and its aspects and effects, and this closer, deeper, broader, more expansive and inclusive way of looking is why Wisdom is the more complete and more useful mental discipline.

It is broadly established and believed that reflectivity is an aspect of logic, philosophy and nature. It is much less known/understood that it is also the nature of Consciousness/Spirituality.

The idea that you must go to where the game and the natural abundance of the earth is has now been replaced by the idea that you can now raise and grow the game and the natural abundance in a particular spot.

The idea that salvation can only be obtained via the Sacraments of the Catholic Church is now replaced by the idea that salvation can be accomplished by a direct relationship with God.
