Sounds like an attempt to remake man into an image of something else which is bound to fail.

Me:  Not really. It’s simply a recognition of the fact that “as a man thinketh, so is he.” I’m not making man out to be an angel, he’s basically good but flawed, and aligning our systems with the natural concept of grace, especially a system that impacts us daily if not continuously, could only aid in the self actualization of graciousness.

Yes, it’s that vast and that significant.  Why?

Historically, aspect(s) of the philosophical the concept of grace are directly associated with every step of genuine human progress.

Every paradigm change is a new human cognition about the applicability, workability, ethical ascension and problem resolving power of an aspects(s) of grace.

Quantum theory is science struggling with consciousness itself and consciousness/self awareness is completely synonymous with the experience of the state of grace.

Wisdom is the very process and result of the integration of the truths in opposites, and grace is the pinnacle integrative/continually integrating concept and experience of Wisdom.

Cosmologically we and everything exists within a black hole (or even more likely an expanding plasmoid) in which space, time and what we perceive as the physical universe is an expanding exteriorization/exteriorizing of the primary reality which is consciousness. It’s all connected/integrated/integrating on the primary level and in the final analysis we are simply its extrapolation with a lot of very interesting, beautiful and beguilingly apparent randomness tossed in.

Each of the stopping/summing points in the economy is where monetary policy can immediately, effectively and unobtrusively be applied to the economic process. It can substantially reduce prices to consumers and below even cost to the enterprise because all of the discounts the enterprise grants to the consumer are rebated back to them by the monetary authority mandated to do so. It’s elegant, simple, insightful and utterly effective in resolving advanced economy’s two most chronic and major problems, namely a systemic scarcity of effective demand and consumer and asset price inflation.

Finally, along with the other necessary policy, a universal dividend to everyone 18 years of age and older, the discount also breaks the 5000 year old monopolistically dominating paradigms of Finance of Debt, Loan and For Production Only, with the new primary paradigm of Direct and Reciprocal Monetary Gifting. 

And these two policies, implemented exactly as intended at every stopping/summing point, will literally have earth shatteringly beneficial economic effects.

Any economist and intellectual who doesn’t recognize both the necessity and the superlative importance of ethics in economic theory….is a dunce, no matter what their other credentials.

Grace is not just some high minded niceness, it is also Wisdom which is the best and most complete integration of the practical and the ideal which means it is highly aware of the human proclivity for lying and out ethical situations like deception, counter intention to fairness, etc.

Hence it sees that the economic system is unstable and actually harmfully dominating toward most agents in it and so takes responsibility to remedy same. Hence it is unafraid to take ethical control of that system at strategic places in order to fix one or more of the problems (excess costs) in an unobtrusive way at the very ending point where costs are summed, and only at that place and time thus not interfering in the business’s own decisions about deciding upon its best competitive price. Finally, if it sees an enterprise breaking the rules of cooperation in an ethical system…it is perfectly willing to kick that enterprise in the ass continually and even terminally by denying the benefits of a system based on the aspects of the concept of grace.  Awareness that there is a rational end to patience after all is an aspect of grace.

…and yet scientists not only do not appear to be forthright about looking for a philosophical concept to define and guide it, they also “will not go there” in considering Wisdom concepts to do so…undoubtedly out of fear of being accused of religiosity….when secular philosophical scientism itself has become the modern religion.

I “go there” because I integrate philosophy and spirituality…the latter of which is not religion, but rather what could be called experientialism and which is also the superior human mental discipline otherwise known as Wisdom.

…and economically you can’t get behind the theoretical concept of Grace which is both analogous to consciousness itself and whose aspects are the superlative, the complete, the resolving and the ethical.

And just in case you’ve mistaken me for a religionist, I’m talking about spirituality not religion.  Spirituality being the ideas and experiences pointed at and existing behind the dogmas of the world’s major Wisdom traditions, not the dogmas themselves.

…is part of Grace, just a synthetic and unnecessarily divisive part.

These discussions are very intellectually interesting, however, the real economic issue is does the money system facilitate commerce, stability and equitability, i.e. practicality, security and ethics.

IMO MMT has the mechanics of money correctly described, but precisely like what neo-liberalism did, is still an ideology looking for justification. Personally I think libertarians/free banking are headed in the wrong direction and that the money system requires governmental sanction/justification. But MMT, like neo-liberalism, still fails the stability and ethics requirements.

Until such time as MMT or any other theory recognizes and properly understands the concept behind the new paradigm of Direct and Reciprocal Monetary Gifting they will be incomplete, inadequate and effectively unable to fulfill all three requirements.
