Thread on Ellen Brown’s Forum About the Benfits of a 50% Discount/Rebate Policy At Retail Sale

EB:  Thanks for the comments, Renada and Steve. Steve, I never understood why we need the point of sale rebate. Why not just a national dividend?

Me:  1) It immediately doubles the purchasing power of any dividend. If you can purchase $100 worth of groceries for only $50 that’s a helluva deal, and if you can purchase a $30k automobile for $15k and a $300k house for $150k that’s the deal of the entire history of human economics and money systems.

2) A $1000/mo. dividend is basic, palliative at best and hence aligns more with the scarcity/austerity of the current monetary reality. $2000/mo. worth of purchasing power puts one almost $6000 above the poverty line. Ironically, a $1000/mo. dividend becomes enforced serfdom in an AI world where employment is scarce.
3) It eliminates any possibility of inflation and, “miraculously” from an orthodox theoretical standpoint, beneficially integrates price and asset DE-flation into profit making economic systems. This FRED graph shows that normal garden variety inflation is always a small single digit percentage except during wars or when the cost of a major commodity like oil has been manipulated upward 300-400%, and then it never has gone above 15%.
High tech capital intensive economies are costly and competitive. Hence inflation normally stays between 1-4%, and if a producer ups their price by 20-25%, retail purchasing agents aren’t stupid, they’re going to purchase your competitor’s products and your market share goes down severely. And If you used tax incentives for frugality, competition and innovation and tax penalties for inflating your prices you’ll never have more than a 1-4% inflation rate and then all you do is make the discount 51-54% and everyone’s purchasing power is still doubled by the 50% discount/Rebate policy.
4)  If everyone has guaranteed above poverty purchasing power at 18 years of age for life what do we and every enterprise need to be taxed for welfare, unemployment insurance and even social security? Hence the 50% Discount/Rebate policy eliminates the need for those taxes, increases net earnings….and potentially most important integrates the self interests of the traditionally opposed political constituencies of labor and management…..against the real problem, i.e. private for profit finance and their monopolistic paradigm of Debt Only.

GA:  Bob,

Most of the interest from treasury bonds is returned to the government by the Fed.

RC:  Yes that is true so why bother issuing the debt.

Me:  Here’s why: Because once it is established that debt free money, especially in the form of monetary gifting credited directly to the individual at a sufficiently high percentage of price discount at retail sale that it completely eliminates any possibility of inflation and in fact integrates beneficial price and asset deflation into the economy, and debited reciprocally back to the enterprise so that they can be whole on their overheads and profit margins…the jig is up for the banks’ monopolistic paradigm of Debt Only.

All of the de-bunking of neo-classical economics and decyphering of the mechanics of money creation of course has been good, but who would have thought that a simple accounting action at a strategic point in the economic/productive process was the key to implementing the new monetary, financial and economic paradigm? The significance of the point of retail sale has been sitting in plain sight for literally centuries waitng to be discovered, but like breathing, it was such an integral part of the economy….that economists and pundits generally being off in thrice removed theoretical and/or mathematical abstraction….unconsciously remained unaware of it.

Post to RWER Blog Regarding Utopianism, Decentralization and the New Paradigm

@Yoshi,

The new monetary and financial paradigm of Direct and Reciprocal Monetary Gifting is the antithesis of socialist re-distributive taxation and the serfdom of finance capitalism.

It is also NOT utopianism which whenever it is raised up like a straw man is always conceived of as a top down oppressive phenomenon. D and R Monetary Gifting resolves the major problems of the current mess and places enough money “into the many hands of the individual” so that THEY are empowered to determine who survives economically and, with proper guidance to create their OWN utopia. The real power is thus in the correct hands, and is a bottom up phenomemnon. Inversions are major signatures of all historical paradigm changes.

Of course the reactionary will say, “Its Communism!”, but it’s actually communitarian which is what everyone says they want when they refer to de-centralization. The new paradigm will finally enable BOTH true decentralization AND the ethical governing of larger organizations as well because its policies and programs will be based on the most unitary and freeing concept the human race has ever conceived and experienced.

Yeah, yeah, yeah there will fools who will oppose it and decry it….what else is new? But continuing and actual grace as in monetary gifting is very easily understood by anyone experiencing it and is thus just as easily acculturated.

The Opening Statement of The Class Action Suit

Despite fallacious and obscuratant macro-economic theory, unconsciousness, befuddlement and lack of direct observation of the economic process by pundits on all sides and authoritarian current paradigm pronouncements by private finance they have no legitimate right to either a charter to create our money or to the enforcement of the monopolistic paradigm of Debt Only as the sole form and vehicle for money’s distribution. It is a rigged elitist way for those elites to dominate all but the most wealthy and all but the most deep pocketed corporate entities.

For the sake of systemic flow, individual freedom and ecological survival it must yield to the new monetary and financial paradigm of Direct and Reciprocal Monetary Gifting.

There is no ethical equivocation with dominance and monopoly on any level of analysis.

The Difference, The Paradigm Changing Difference

I was not the first person to suggest a retail discount, but I was the first person to recognize the paradigm changing nature of a high percentage discount/rebate monetary policy at retail sale, and to visualize the “knock on” benefits it could have both in the economy and numerous other areas of human endeavor. I was also the first person to recognize and define the concept of a mega paradigm change of which the new monetary and financial paradigm of Abundantly Direct and Reciprocal Monetary Gifting is an example.

As high tech capital intensive economic systems are

1) very costly,

2) competition is still a reality between business models

3) the yearly inflation rate has always been a smallish single digit percentage,

4) except during wars or as a result of a 3 to 4 times increase in the cost of modern economies’ most important commodity, petroleum, and so had nothing whatsoever to do with “monetary” inflation at all and

5) hyper-inflations never occur except after the dramatic destruction of productive capacity during wars or as a result of social and political decisions that do the same, debt burdens for reparations on the losing side of war and the consequent self interested alliance of the political and financial elites to inflate away such debt by leveraging up speculators in order to short the currency which changes abnormally high inflation into its hyper character….

…then how could:

1) a universal dividend and direct and reciprocal 50% discount/rebate monetary policy,

2) tax incentives and tax disincentives to deter the economic vice of price and asset inflation caused entirely by the decisions of commercial agents trapped in a system of enforced monetary austerity (money itself and its quantity is AT BEST a tertiary factor), and so stabilize the benefits of the new monetary paradigm

3) the ending of private for profit money creation ONLY in the form and vehicle of debt,

4) the creation of a national non-profit banking, financial and money creating system which integrated a new monetary paradigm of Gifting into the debt based money and accounting system…

…not be the answer to the current paradigm of Debt Only’s persistent problems of individual monetary scarcity, systemic austerity and chronic price and asset inflation?

Wisdomics-Gracenomics: Cognition vs Abstraction.

Generally, in the west what people refer to and experience as consciousness is a debased Cartesian dualism with a bias toward abstraction, NOT cognition, which is an integrative and much more inclusive synthesis of one’s attention and a nascent experience of the electro-magnetic milieu that continually swirls, flows and emanates around us.

Science in the east has precisely the same problem despite its cultural emphasis toward contemplation because science is about abstraction not cognition and Science Only is presently the monopolistic paradigm of inquiry.

Economics requires a Wisdomics-Gracenomics and/or a Wisdomics-Satori-nomics both of whose monetary policies and regulatory programs would reflect the direct and reciprocal dynamic synthesis that is cognition.
