A current paradigm (elite dominated democracy) becomes problematic as anomalies to its rule build up over time and are not resolved. This causes confusion and uncertainty and hence many people not astute in the area of the current paradigm become hasty in grasping for a new paradigm and end up settling for a reactionary counterfeit (autocracy/power). An authentic new paradigm is always an integration of the truths in opposing perspectives (individually freeing democracy).
We are in the midst of both a potential political and an economic paradigm change, but the key to the authentic change as opposed to a mere reaction is understanding and intelligently applying the above integrative fact and process.
