A very interesting conversation indeed. And civil to boot. It has always been my contention that where Scientology went wrong was when it (at first unconsciously perhaps) dropped out affinity and consequently fell into the inevitable egoistic degradation of compulsive dualism. Affinity is another word for Love and its active form Grace and these two are the ultimate thirdness-unity-oneness experiences pointed at by all of the world’s major wisdom traditions no matter that they are described by the words satori-kensho, samadhi or “going way exterior” or “OT”.
Thirdeness-unity-oneness as a concept is all over logic (Hegelian Dialectic of thesis, antithesis and synthesis) nature (the symmetrical sides of a leaf and the stem from which they both arose), mathematics (arithmetic 1 + 2 = 3, the Fibonacci sequence (2 + 3 = 5, 3 + 5 = 8, 5 + 8 = 13 etc.) the cosmos (space, time and matter or space, time and matter-consciousness) and Scientology (ARC and KRC triangles, the cycle of action (Start, Change and Stop), auditing (the Bank with its internally enforced dualistic conflicts…and the consciousness of the PC dispersing them and awakening to himself/herself)
To me Grace consciousness (or insert any of the analogous words also describing it in the first paragraph) is the root of ethics because it is the willing third result of the thorough integration of Love and acting with Love. It is also a raising of consciousness of self and as you become more real to yourself and as others are apparently as yourself…they deserve the same consideration…as yourself.
Over the last 10-12 years I have developed these ideas and complied them into two soon to be self published books, one regarding a new economic theory I call Wisdomics-Gracenomics: The New Monetary and Economic Paradigm and a second philosophical one I call The Cosmic Code. I’m also contemplating beginning to give talks/speeches to the rather large constituencies of debt laden students and demand constricted small to medium sized businessmen whose interests dovetail with the policies elaborated in Wisdomics-Gracenomics
….so wish me luck! 🙂
