In this sense Grace is forever giving and adding. By contemplating Grace one becomes ever more saturated with the power of consciousness-Grace, and never losses or diminishes consciousness, that is awareness of what is, what ACTUALLY is, both inwardly and outwardly.  Yes, one loses their base egoistic tendencies, but not their discernment, ambition, drive or effectiveness in the world. So what they gain is the moral and ethical transformation of egotism….while still retaining (and actually even strengthening)  the knowledge and ability to act…in the best and wisest way.

Why worry about losing the “mess of pottage” of ego when they can have the greater ability to act that is Grace?
