The current difference between humans and AI is actual consciousness itself.  I still have doubts that an artificially constructed intelligence can actually attain actual consciousness, but I could be wrong on that. But what we had better friggin’ hope is, that if AI ever does become actually conscious, that it also has and is completely bound to a very refined sense of Ethics….otherwise it will be the indigenous people’s of North America versus the Europeans all over again….and we won’t be the Europeans.
