Grace is peace as in a release from confliction/resolution of a problem. Duty is unconflicted commitment to an ideal, but Duty can only effectively and ethically be applied to the pinnacle concept/experience of Grace which is the highest of ideals. This is why Defense which very effectively utilizes the concept of Duty, must however, always be subordinate to an ethic of Peace and a political authority that embraces that same ethic.
