When it was established by the Copernican Cosmological paradigm change that the sun was the center of the solar system and earth revolved around it and not the inverse…despite the apparency of the sun moving around the earth from east to west everyday, it was a cosmological moment of orthodoxy death and a true raising of human consciousness.

So could be the same orthodox killing effect if we recognize the counter-intuitive fact that greatly adding money to the economy via strategic utilization of the accounting operation of equal debits and credits equalling zero at strategic points in the economy could actually create beneficial price and asset deflation, double everyone’s purchasing power and increasing the demand for every enterprise’s goods and service.

Likewise, if we strategically utilize money to incentivize ecologically sane actions by individuals and enterprise and use sufficient dis-incentives to stop actions by them that ignore or make ecologically sane actions more difficult, then we could make a lot of head way toward an abundant de-growth goal.

Ultimately though the most reflective analogy to the Copernican paradigm change would be the one from the current paradigm of Geo-centric Resource and Production Only to Largely Cosmic Resource and Production. This may be the epitome of a mega-project, but its inversion of reality and consciousness raising possibilities are even greater than the Copernican. 

Not saying that earthly work should not also be pursued to the nth degree, but let us not adopt a “Don’t Look Up” mentality for paradigm change.

In other words businesses can both receive and utilize monetary gifting to others in order to better profit…and they earn that increased profit…by doing the right thing ecologically, socially, politically and yes spiritually, as in creating a better infrastructure for the self actualization of the many beneficial aspects of the natural philosophical concept of grace.

And so this tells us that nature/temporal reality and your personal reality are all an enchantment/enchanting, ecstatic reality if we just sit under the Bo tree, become as little children…and open ourselves up to that and our reality. Amen, so be it.

Great and scary synopsis Nate. I feel that the key to both economic stability as well as the way to most quickly turn the superorganism toward ecological sanity is the ever evolving policy program in my book Wisdomics-Gracenomics. Its how we can have greater/virtually universal monetary and economic security without inflation, over-consumption or the almost inevitable chaos we’ll face unless we integrate opposites (the very process and impulse of the superlative intellectual discipline AKA Wisdom of which science is a wholly contained set) in multiple systems with policies/systemic actions by aligning such actions with the most integrative/unitary and consciousness raising concept humanity has ever conceived, namely the natural philosophical concept of grace as in love in action. Don’t leave me here. Every aspect of the concept of grace has multiple temporal universe relevancies in whatever system/context you apply it to. Visualize a monetary system of grace as in Gifting and an economy of stable free flowingness that was profitable but where profit was actually secondary to ethics….because Monetary Gifting could incentivize ecological sanity by the super-organism. Last but not least visualize an economy where simply going to the store to purchase virtually anything was actually the greatest everyday, universally participated in infrastructure for the self actualization of gratitude mankind ever created via a policy of a 50% Discount/Rebate policy at retail sale. Finally, consider this: Every historical new paradigm concept/change, has always been characterized by complete conceptual opposition to the old paradigm, and its result has always been a complete inversion of temporal universe reality.

If you craft policies utilizing the new monetary paradigm of Monetary Grace As In Gifting you could double everyone’s purchasing power, end inflation forever and incentivize and dis-incentivize even the worst cost increasers, polluters and foot draggers in the economic super-organism toward ecological sanity, stable economic free flowingness and profit-making they’ve ever experienced.

God has always been associated with out there…being in the heavens. I’m of the belief that god, the heavens/the cosmos IS nature…and vice versa.

To me the biggest reason we have an ecological problem is we’re not cosmicly dealing with our energy/entropy problem. In many ways we need to consult the movie “When Worlds Collide!” as it applies to the best and ultimate way of solving the above problem.

Don’t get me wrong, alternative energy research and development is all well and good, but the way to save the planet most rapidly is to off planet the worst if not the vast majority of production into high earth orbit and or the moon. That is the epitome of a mega-project, but it transforms a planetary problem into a cosmic one where we won’t need to worry about it for another 4-5 billion years.

By all means continue and intensify earthly efforts to correct the problem, but proceed with post haste in putting the problem out there in “the heavens.”

Just another way to integrate Wisdom into our lives and the ecology.

Or rather the integration of the pinnacle concept of Wisdom, AKA the natural philosophical concept of grace, into the mere and inadequate discipline of economics.

We’re not utilizing correct or sufficient economic strategies to direct the economic super-organism toward sanity and planetary survival. This is why we need to integrate Wisdom into the economic process, particularly with a new monetary paradigm, in order to incentivize and dis-incentivize it to move with maximum action toward such goal.

We can best do this by strategically applying the relevant concept of grace to every aspect of the economy, particularly regarding money/the present monopolistic monetary paradigm of Debt Only as in Burden to Re-pay ONLY, but throughout every sector of the economy and throughout the entire economic process like with speculation, financialization and the inability to sanely deal with energy and the ecology.

In the human universe there is only freedom amongst known barriers. Thats why you can’t walk into a theater and yell “Fire!” Presently you can walk into the economy and yell, “Holy Shit! There’s a hydrogen bomb under my seat!” That must end, and be replaced by a relevant aspect of grace like benevolent sovereignty.

Grace, grace, grace, apply and implement the concept of grace. Not merely religion/fixed and rigid dogmas…thats just setting up another duality that conflicts. Consult Wisdom and chemistry where two compounds are integrated and become an actual thirdness greater oneness of the original duality.

Instead of homo economicus we need to live up to our species designation of homo spaiens…wise and discerning man.

Our normal walking around consciousness, whatever its origins, is feeble in comparison to the experience of its emergent integration with the electro-magnetic flux that is the reality around us at all times. Thats why zen monks gaze at walls and why Christ alegedly said, “If you want to enter the kingdom of heaven you must become as little children.” i.e. experiencing the moment directly with very little or any abstraction diminishing it. We live in a scientific, reductionist abstract age that often gets in our way. Don’t get me wrong I’m four square for science its just that I’m for the dynamic, open minded, non-grasping kind of science that historically has been the kind that preceedes scientific breakthroughs. As I like to say, “Science is necessary, delicious and potentially wonderful…and it exists entirely within the digestive tract of Wisdom.”

Today we are afflicted by both bodily metabolic inflexibility and mental inflexibility. What we need to strive for is the kind of mental flexibility that enables us to utilize both the abstract/thinkingness aspect of our consciousness and the direct lookingness mode of same. As Einstein said, “The mind is a wonderful gift, but a poor master.”

Thats Wisdomics-Gracenomics. Gifting and Sovereignty are both aspects of grace.

An article in Real World Economic Review Journal by Susan Paulson called Economics of Abundance and De-Growth reminded me of navigating the ironies and paradoxes we now face in economics and ecological sanity. This has lead me to create a new economic and psychological acronym GEDP or Grace Evoking Domestic Product. Here are a few of the policies in my book Wisdomics-Gracenomics that can help in achieving that goal more effectively.

First off we need to find more and more ways to make every policy, incentive, dis-incentive, and/or tool like accounting etc. to be directly imbedded/linked to everyday living in ways that elicit an aspect or aspects of the natural philosophical concept/experience of grace as in love/wellbeing/better survival…in action. For instance:

50% Discount/Rebate policy at retail sale utilizing equal debits and credits that sum to zero. Evokes gratitude for a gift of price in a daily universally participated in activity.
