…of the lack of Wisdom in Economics and Economic theorizing than the confusion, the resistance to change and the decreasing applicability of its policies? Wisdom after all is the integrative process itself where the relevant truths of various and opposing theories are combined resulting in an expanded and higher understanding of the subject that resolves past problems and creates policies that make the system more practical and ethical. Unfortunately we don’t see much of that from the leaders of the dominant orthodoxy since the crisis of 2007-2008.  Heterodox theorists are searching for answers, but most of their theories reek of the same kind of fragmented mentality that has characterized economic theory for so long. What if they asked themselves the question: What is the pinnacle of Wisdom?  …and then followed the answer to that through to an alignment with a new philosophy of economics and reflecting macro-economic policies? What if?

Yes, scientism and puritanism are the modern substitutes and counterfeits for Grace and a completely integrated ethics. They block an ascension to Grace as concept and as experience. I admire the Paul’s for their steadfast anti-militaristic stance, their libertarian viewpoints on various issues and their otherwise efficient thinking about the economy and government, but as you say Wally, they just cannot reconcile efficiency and distribution to the individual. They will probably still require the guy who wakes up the guy who has been waiting 8 hours to press the off button on the robot that has created a thousand cars….to remain on the job….because “There ain’t no free lunch!”  Its a fixed idea, a computational psychosis. And the pitiful thing is that this mental mistake ends up aligning them with the very monopoly…that they THINK they are opposing in the FED. Their economic and monetary analysis only goes to the structural level and does not penetrate to the level of the idea, the philosophy, the paradigm where monetary grace the free gift is the obvious countervailing idea to debt only in consumer finance and will effect the transformation of a modern technologically advanced economy and so stabilize it. Ironies abound.

The reign of the idea of Debt is over. Debt ONLY as a sufficient paradigm has been needing a balancing and equilibrating idea for nearly as long as debt has been a human reality, and has become increasingly problematic in frequency and amplitude as the advance of technology and some of the more subtle effects of the mental tool of double entry bookkeeping have developed. This has brought a crisis upon us that will not pass no matter how much governments and theorists attempt to reassure us of a coming “return to normalcy”, and may in fact lead to a rhyming war in an age of modern weaponry where no one’s life and no nation’s productive capacity is safe from almost utter destruction. The only solution to our current situation is a conscious return to what has always been the solution…Wisdom and the epitome of Wisdom, Grace.

Grace is an idea, a concept and an experience. Ideas are the real power in the world, and profound ideas are the most powerful ideas of all. Grace is one such idea. Ideas are generally transformative. When you get the idea that you are in love both you and the world can be transformed. Grace is actually the integrated result of several of the most powerful and transformative ideas known to Man, namely Faith/Confidence, Hope and Love. Grace is the result of the integration of these and Action. Thus Grace is Faith/Confidence, Hope and Love…in action, in the temporal universe. Grace and the universe of Time and action are hence, by definition and by the character of the concept and the experience itself, completely and inseparably linked. All actual Wisdom is of this character, and Grace being the pinnacle of Wisdom epitomizes this experiential and temporal character. Hence Grace is actually an integration of the spirit/Self awareness, of philosophy/ideas…and of policy/actions….each and all…themselves. It’s that comprehensive and all encompassing…by nature.  The person filled with and experiencing Grace is exactly like the dancer who flows with complete balance, equilibrium and flow across the dance floor, but in this case is the fully integrated individual who is completely willing and able to experience Life in the deepest way and yet does not hang up in any experience except as they consciously find it is genuinely and intelligently the correct and reasonable thing to do…for as long as they deem it necessary. Human systems, correctly and actually being a reflection of Humanity will very closely mirror the philosophy/ideas and policies/actions that they are actually based upon. And that is why Grace is so important to understand and be the primary basis for our systems. Wisdom and its pinnacle Grace have arrived, and we desperately need to embrace them because they are the best, most ethical and the specific and actual solution to our current economic and monetary crisis.

1) It did not have a retail discount to counteract the still always in effect cost push and demand pull inflation.

2) It did not have a direct individual dividend and so Its government stimulus did not directly, sufficiently and immediately reach the individual and free him economically. Hence it enabled both Equilibrium ideology and Finance’s monopolistic dominance of the system and everyone in it to survive, and so eventually the inherent problems of both Finance and Capitalism flew completely out of control.

The half measure benefits of Social Security, welfare and unemployment insurance are the only reason this Great “Recession” is not as bad or worse than the first and so they actually obscure how unstable and problematic the system is. Make the benefits immediate, sufficient to free the individual and for all of adult life and we’ve finally got a society/world that can stably progress toward a real civilization and its expression. If we would have had a dividend and retail discount after WW I the 20th century might have had a much more peaceful and humane history. Let us not make the same mistakes, especially now that modern weaponry renders no one’s productive capacity safe and everyone’s life in jeopardy.

One of the rules of the Duality Within Trinity formula is that one must actually look at all data including apparently opposing and/or even seemingly irrelevant perspectives and at the entirety of the process of whatever subjects/systems one is trying to perceive truth in. This tends to expose habitual and regurgitated orthodoxy as shallow/non-existent analysis and encourage actual looking at everything relevant…including ideas and concepts not within current orthodoxy. Then aligning all policy goals along the Trinitarian concepts of Ascension and Unity Within Diversity, the integrative nature and process of Wisdom, the balance, equilibrium and flow character of the Trinitarian epitome of Wisdom which is the concept and personal experience of Grace, and the essential humanity and necessity of ethics will make those policies a better if not the best analysis. Finally, if problems persist one can re-examine whether alignment with the above was consistent and/or look for an aspect of Self Awareness/Consciousness like imagination, identification or distinction that might be applied or, as might be the case with the latter two, was actually misapplied.

Puritans are generally over concerned with hard work and living an austere life. This is a missing of the mark as the actual aspects of Grace are much more along the line of joyousness and celebration. Likewise works of piety and legalistic interpretations of doctrine are nothing in comparison to the actual experience of Grace. Obsession with work and condemnation of anyone suggesting that employment may not be the only solution to our economic problems and responsibility in Life, especially when technology is eliminating jobs so fast that the economy cannot function and still make a profit, is mistaken and even irrational. Technology has the potential to lift the Adamic curse and enable a greater expression of the concept and experience of Grace in the world. Alignment with Grace is Wiser both personally and systemically for the economy. Atonement is the object, not obsession over rules of conduct or work as an end in itself.

That way Economics will finally be directly and actually aligned with Ethics instead of merely power and control. After all,

“Systems were made for men, and not men for systems, and the interest of man which is self-development, is above all systems, whether theological, political or economic.”^[1]     C. H. Douglas
