Understanding the concept of grace is the beginning of the undoing of mere philosophy/thinking and fragmented and incomplete policy/action.      Steve Hummel 10/20/2016

Grace

GM:  This is one reason why I asked you folks to define your terms. The meaning of such terms as “orthodox” is uncertain, and may just be”what this or that group of people believes.” But to discuss the ideas or beliefs themselves, one must first define them with some precision.

Me:  The paper, while making many good intellectual points, is stale dated to 2007. Looking at Keen’s work is simply a more updated version of what he is saying. And of course, what neither he nor Keen seem to be conscious of is that what is missing and sorely needed in economic and monetary theory is THE PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPT of grace, specifically as in policies of gifting and generally as in a seamless integration of opposite truths, workabilities and applicabilities….and the deletion  of untruths etc. After all grace is flow and continuing active free flowingness. Fully understand AND APPLY the concept of grace….and you’ll have the thought/philosophy and actions/policies of an economic theory of such freedom.

If you’re willing, give me your definition of the concept of grace.

Grace always includes the additional component of the intention to love and understand, even as it powerfully exposes and evokes truth.

Grace is the strength and willingness to refrain from obsessive condemnation or resentment even as the confused, the distracted, the hypnotized or the ill willed miss, avoid, personally reverse or actively work to destroy a better and more whole world.

Grace enables both the willingness to use power and the ability to restrain from abusing it.

Grace is a power that mere power does not understand and cannot overwhelm.

Grace is Love in action, and appropriate restraint from acting.

Contemplate, make real and express Love….and so Grace!  Whatever you do, do so with Love and so Grace! 

Grace enables one to simultaneously evoke and expose the truth…and also feel a genuine empathy for the person caught in the obsessive half truth/untruth of mere objectivity.

Integrating often apparently opposing thoughts, ideas, theories and policies and any given situation in Life which creates a third and more unified reality, understanding and/or temporal condition. Integration within an integrative ethic.

Put up your finger in front of your eyes and then say “Science” while looking at it closely as you walk through space and time until you begin to wondrously look at everything in your environment.

Then repeat this in the opposite direction Saying “Consciousness”.

Then show integration-integrating by reversing the direction of those two apparently opposing realities toward each other by taking your hands and crossing your fingers at which time you raise your crossed fingers upwardly to denote a third state, and then continuing by tracing a circle with your hands that ends with the palms up and a somewhat surprised, then a smiling, bemused, wondrous and even a tearfully happy beseeching of others to look at and use the same process.
