The first mega-paradigm change was when humanity became self aware enough to realize the reality and importance of ethics. In other words we emerged from being a mere animal with survival being our only ethic and had to then deal with the duality of good or evil by doing what we do not nearly do enough of in modern times, self actualizing graciousness as in love in action.
