Why? Because an orthodoxy is static and belief in it pins one to that orthodoxy in present time and so one loses an essential aspect of Grace, that is, its experiential process from moment to moment. Grace is discovered in the meaning, purpose and experience behind the orthodoxy, not the belief itself.
