Why? Because if you keep on integrating upwardly you eventually get to spiritual/religious considerations, and the word religion comes from the latin religare which means to bind back, and in the case of economic theory that would be binding back the universal spiritual intention of love into any policy considerations of such theory. Funny thing about spirituality….its actually an essential, I would say the most essential aspect of a truly pragmatic and truly workable economic solution.
Just be sure to integrate religion with love. That way you avoid the dualistic contentiousness of one wisdom tradition versus another. In fact you can choose whatever religious tradition you want to, but make sure you integrate love into your beliefs and graciousness will be the result.
