Posted to Ellen Brown’s Forum Regarding Agendas and the Utter Importance to Politicians of Power and Control

As I have numerous times said here I admire Michael Hudson’s moral fortitude and chutzpah as well as his financialization thesis. What he also alludes to, but does not actually come out and say is that Syriza-Tsipras caved and accepted the Troika’s agenda obviously not because they believe in it, but more so… because they don’t actually believe in their OWN agenda…..even though they will defend it to others to the very end, even its unworkabilities, inapplicabilities and lack of comprehensive paradigmatic awareness.

In other words they are actually much more interested in attaining/maintaining power and control…than they are the alleged freedom they mistakenly/half heartedly think their reactionary/incompletely integrated theories will accomplish. If their government was forced out of the Euro and eurozone and things got even worse, even temporarily, it could have endangered their survival. The power and control calculation was then to accept the domination and when austerity became even worse they could play the blame card. The pragmatic truth is on a certain LOWER gamesmanship level this makes sense. On the level of finding an integrated actual solution to the deepest problem that would actually free the Greek individual and make the systemic Greek economy operate in free flow…it is a meaningless exercise in frustration….especially for whom Greek politicians allegedly are working for…individual Greeks.
